FAISALABAD/SARGODHA:

Four people died in accidents due to dense fog in Faisalabad and Sargodha on Tuesday morning.

Rescue-1122 officials said two people died and three were injured in a collision between a passenger van and a trailer truck near Addah Johl on Shaikhupura Road.

They said the van was on its way to Faisalabad from Shahkot when it collided with a trailer truck due to low visibility near Adda Johal on Shaikhupura Road.

They said Pervez, 35, and Mohsin Ali, 19, died on the spot and four other passengers Saleem, 36, Hassan, 35, Abdul Hameed, 60, and an unidentified man were injured.

Rescue-1122 officials took them to Allied Hospital and Abdul Hameed to the DHQ Hospital as his condition was serious.

In Sargodha, two men died and three students were injured in an accident in a Saddar police precinct.

Police said that a school van, driven by Muhammad Ashraf, was taking children to a school in Sargodha city in the morning.

Because of low visibility due to fog, the driver rammed the vehicle into a truck parked along the road near the Chak 33 railway crossing.

The driver Muhammad Ashraf and his companion Afzal died on the spot and three children Talha, Abu Bakar and Kaleemul Hassan were injured.

Police said that they were taken to the district headquarters hospital
