Corporal punishment: Man accuses teacher of thrashing his daughter
Meanwhile, when approached for comments, the teacher opted not to speak to the media
HARIPUR:
A man has accused a class teacher of subjecting his daughter to severe corporal punishment. “My daughter Muneeba Sabir, a ninth grader at Government Girls High School Sera-e-Saleh, was whispering to a class fellow when Shehnaz Bibi, her Urdu teacher caught them,” Sabir Hussain, a resident of Sera-e-Saleh village, told the media on Monday.
“Shehnaz Bibi got infuriated and started slapping and punching her; She also banged Muneeba’s head against the wall.” He added when Muneeba returned home she was feeling dizzy and felt her vision was blurry. Hussain lodged a complaint with the Haripur deputy commissioner and DEO for legal action against the teacher.
Meanwhile, when approached for comments, the teacher opted not to speak to the media.
However, one of her colleagues said Shehnaz Bibi slightly slapped Muneeba a couple of times for disturbing the lecture.
She denied that Shehnaz Bibi banged Muneeba’s head against the wall.
