Governor talks: ‘Research backbone for medical studies’

Later, the governor also handed out gold medals to 25 graduating students, 24 of which were women

PESHAWAR:
Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan has called research as “the backbone for medical education.” Addressing students of Khyber College for Dentistry at University of Peshawar’s convocation hall on Friday, Mehtab said education is an important tool for a society’s progress. He stated only educated nations succeed and development is dependent on education. “If we want to compete with the world, we have to focus on education,” the governor said. Mehtab added research was the backbone for medical education. Later, the governor also handed out gold medals to 25 graduating students, 24 of which were women.
