Dumped: Body found in ex-minister’s house
The body was bullet-ridden and mutilated
MINGORA:
A body was found from the burnt and abandoned house of former provincial minister and Awami National Party leader Ayub Khan Ashari in Matta tehsil in Swat. An official said the body of Haroon Mian, a 50-year-old resident of Madayan, was found from the residence which was blown up by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan militants in 2009. Police officials took the body to the hospital and said further investigation is in progress. However, they did confirm the victim was killed elsewhere. The body was bullet-ridden and mutilated. When contacted, Ayub Khan said he and his family no longer resided in Kalakot. The house fell into ruin after being blown up by militants. Ayub Khan resides in his ancestral village of Ashari, which is also in Matta tehsil. Further investigation is under way.
