UK visit: Elimination of terrorism top priority, says CM

Elimination of terrorism is a central part of the government’s agenda, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Wednesday. He was talking to British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, Interior Secretary Theresa May and British Minister for International Development Justine Greening on Wednesday. “Terrorism and extremism have various forms. Different strategies are needed to curb this menace. Apart from use of force, those causes will have to be addressed which promote terrorism,” he said. UK-Pakistan Energy Forum. The chief minister also addressed an event arranged by the UK-Pakistan Energy and Infrastructure Forum. “In the changing international economic scenario, Pakistan’s importance is increasing,” he said.
