World AIDS day: Striving to make society disease-free

Mughal said that there is a need to formulate a strong system in which the poor are granted their rights

SUKKUR: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arshad Mughal has said that special attention is being paid to control the spread of communicable and non-communicable diseases in the province. “Care is better than cure and by following this principle, our society can be made disease-free,” said Mughal while addressing an awareness seminar on AIDS awareness on Monday. Mughal said that there is a need to formulate a strong system in which the poor are granted their rights. Speakers said that addicts who use drugs through syringes are mostly affected by AIDS. Similarly, the percentage of AIDS is very high in sex workers.
