Road accident in ajk: A dozen injured as van falls into ravine

At least 12 people were injured in a road accident on Sunday near the Machiara area of Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. According to the police, a passenger van (IDA-9875) was on its way to Muzaffarabad form Chakariyan village in Pattika Tehsil, some 30 kilometers from the capital city, when it fell into a deep ravine while negotiating a sharp curve. As a result, 12 passengers were injured, three of whom are said to have sustained serious injuries. Locals shifted the passengers to the Pattika Hospital for treatment. Those with serious injuries were shifted to Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Hospital, Muzaffarabad, where doctors state the condition of two to be critical, while a third is said to be out of danger. The injured passengers were identified as Nazir Ahmad (driver), Abdul Aziz, Abdul Jaleel, Jahanzeb Rashid, Yousaf, Ayub Khan, Gulshan, Saad Jalil, Zohra Bibi, Shanzada Bibi, Zainab Noor and Raheela Bibi.
