Rites: Qul khawani for the deceased governor

Qul khawani for the late Salmaan Taseer was held, on Thursday, at the Governor’s House. It was attended by many politicians and a large number of his family’s friends.
The participants condoled with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul. Federal Law Minister Babar Awan, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab president Imtiaz Safdar Warraich, PPP Punjab secretary general Samiullah Khan and PPP Lahore president Samina Khalid Ghurkiand many other political leaders and PPP workers were present.
Awan addressed the gathering and said that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is a blessing not only for Muslims but for all. He narrated the incident where the Holy Prophet (pbuh) forgave the murderer of his uncle after Makkah was conquered. He condoled with the governor’s family and asked PPP workers to bear their loss with restraint and bravery.
