FAISALABAD:
Sargodha Road police arrested a dairy farm worker on Saturday for killing his employer. Police also recovered the body of the deceased from a field.

A police spokesman said Tasadduq Hussain, a resident of Islamia Park, had disappeared two weeks ago. He said Sargodha Road police had registered an FIR on the complaint of Hussain’s family. He said police had detained Muhammad Qaisar, a worker of Hussain’s dairy farm, for interrogation.

During investigation, Qaisar had confessed to killing Hussain.

He told police that he had been in love with Hussain’s wife and had wanted to marry her.

He said when Hussain found out about this, he beat up his wife and fired him.

He told police that Hussain’s wife had again called him and together they had made a plan to kill Hussain and bury his body in a field.

He said he had abducted Hussain from his farm and killed him. He said buried the body in a field.

The police spokesman said Qaisar had taken police to the spot where he had buried the body. He said it was handed over to the heirs of the deceased for burial.

Relatives of the deceased staged a protest demonstration against the police at Millat Chowk upon receiving the body. They blocked the intersection for traffic and chanted slogans against police alleging inaction and negligence.

They said the police had failed to act in a timely manner, adding that Hussain could have been saved if police had arrested Qaisar promptly.

Later, a team from Sargodha Road police station met the protesters and assured them that justice would be served. The protesters dispersed receiving this assurance and later buried the body.
