Say ‘No’ to corruption: NAB begins campaign in elite schools

Rashid visited Froebel’s International School to conduct a session on the importance of saying ‘No’ to corruption

ISLAMABAD:

To spread awareness against corruption, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has taken its campaign to the elite schools.

The body’s Awareness and Prevention Director-General Aliya Rashid is heading the campaign. She told The Express Tribune that it was necessary to tell students at elite schools about the menace of corruption.

The accountability body has initiated a vigorous campaign to curb this menace by creating awareness in all segments of society, particularly women, she added.

In this context, Rashid visited Froebel’s International School to conduct a session on the importance of saying ‘No’ to corruption.

This was the first ever session held in any school in an effort to involve the future generation in the fight against corruption, Rashid said.

“[Students] should never pressurise their parents, demanding luxury items; being the best human being should be their goal,” she said.

She also highlighted the initiatives taken by NAB to create awareness amongst the general public through seminars, talks, books and advertisements.
