KARACHI: The Sindh High Court has put the Sindh Inspector-General of Police, Pakistan Rangers and top intelligence agencies on notice in a petition on two men who went missing from Baldia Town.

The bench, comprising justices Mushir Alam and Irfan Saadat Khan, was hearing a constitutional petition filed by Younus, who is the brother of one of the missing men, Abdul Nafeh, and is friends with the other, Saudur Rahman.

The two men were arrested allegedly by the Rangers on December 16 and December 19.

The counsel for the petitioners maintained that the two men were not produced before any court since their arrests and therefore their custody was illegal.

The bench ordered notices to be issued to the respondents for January 5 and directed them to file comments before the next date of hearing.
