LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday sought comments from the Shahdara SHO in connection with a petition filed by a 13-year-old girl against three people for allegedly forcing her to convert to Islam and marry one of them. Petitioner Claire* told the court that she was a Christian. She said Shahbaz, Shahzad and Bubbly had forced her to accept Islam and get married with one of the suspects after taking her to an unidentified locale. She said a police team had later recovered her. The petitioner said some police officials were in cahoots with the suspects. Claire said she had approached Shahdara police in vain. She asked the court to direct the Shahdara SHO to register a case against the accused and make them desist from harassing her.
