LAHORE: University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha was conferred a Sitara-i-Imtiaz by President Mamnoon Hussain on the occasion of the Independence Day in recognition of his performance in the field of veterinary sciences. The investiture ceremony for the award will take place on Pakistan Day, March 23, 2016. Prof Pasha was earlier awarded the Best University Teacher Award by the Higher Education Commission in 2009. In a press statement, the vice chancellor said the award was a matter of pride for the university and the result of teamwork by the UVAS faculty and staff.
