The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has issued notices to 29 building owners for illegally constructing structures in the cantonment area.


According to a spokesperson for RCB, the building control department has issued notice to owners of 29 buildings in different areas including Qasimabad, Saddar, Naseerabad, Bank Road, Peshawar Road, Afshan Colony and Dhok Banaras.


A source in the RCB said that illegal building have thrived in city with the connivance of the building control department officials, who allow contractors to raise structures after taking bribes from them.
