A child was injured in a roadside blast in the Lehri area of Sibi on Thursday. According to the police, unidentified persons strapped an improvised explosive device to a motorcycle parked in a bus stop.


“A child was injured and motorcycle was destroyed in the blast,” police said. They added that the bomb was a remote control device. Further investigations are under way.


Meanwhile, Frontier Corps (FC) personnel have defused a bomb that was planted by the roadside in Dera Bugti on Thursday.


According to an FC spokesman, security personnel were informed about a strange-looking object lying on the road.


The bomb disposal squad then proceeded to defuse a bomb weighing 10 kg. The bomb, they disclosed, was a remote-controlled device.
