DERA GHAZI KHAN: Dera Ghazi Khan police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested the head of an inter-district robbery gang in a raid.

A spokesman said police were told by an informant that Ghulam Akbar Khosa, wanted for several robberies, was hiding at his father’s had house near Ghazi Park. He said a team of policemen and Elite Force personnel raided the house late on Tuesday night.

He said Khosa had tried to escape but was arrested. He said police had also seized a Kalashnikov, seven magazines, 20 bullets, three G-3 rifles and several mobile phones.

He said a case had been registered against him for various robberies and illegal possession of weapons.
