KARACHI: International Cricket Council (ICC) president Mustafa Kamal has said the game's governing body denied him his right to give the winner's trophy at the post-match presentation ceremony of the World Cup final here on Sunday, according to NDTV.

The winner's trophy was handed over by ICC chairman N Srinivasan of India which led to Kamal threatening the board for revealing the happenings taking place at cricket's world governing body.

"I was supposed to give the trophy," said Kamal. "It is my constitutional right. But very unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to do so. My rights were dishonoured. After I go back home, I will let the whole world know what's happening in ICC. I will let the whole world know about those guys who are doing these mischievous things."

Kamal questioned the integrity of the umpires after they were involved in controversial decisions saying that the ICC should investigate the matter asking whether some decisions were deliberate or not.

A day later, the ICC's chief executive, Dave Richardson, termed Kamal's criticism unfortunate, but Kamal has denied reports that the snub was a reaction to his criticism of the umpires.

Gultasib Khan | 8 years ago | Reply its Najam SATHI show @ PCB.as next President (meaningless post but so financial gain if you agree everything Indian Cricket Council) he will ensure no team to come to Pakistan (that's wishes of India to isolate us) and play our home matches in UAE instead of UK because indians bookies will find difficult to fix matches in United Kingdom
Fawad | 8 years ago | Reply Pakistan cricket has suffered the most by ICC new decisions for bowlers they ruined up Ajmal and Hafeez wicket taking bowlers. Yet PCB didn't say a word to ICC. ICC is like a boss and bosses are always right even if they are doing wrong things. Aleem dar was not included due to stupid appeal done by BCB. ICC should be rename their name soon as Indian Cricket Council not International.
