BAHAWALPUR:
Hundreds of students of Islamia University of Bahawalpur staged a protest demonstration on Thursday against the administration. Around 300 students blocked the DPO Chowk for five hours.
The protesters chanted slogans against the university administration. They demanded action against university security guards, who, they claimed, had beaten up students 18 days ago. They said that the university administration and police had not taken notice of the issue. A university spokesman denied the claims made by the protesters, stating a handful of miscreants were trying to disrupt the university’s educational activities.
