Man who murdered wife later killed by siblings in Mianwali
Two of three accused have been arrested and produced before the court

Police claimed to have traced the suspects involved in two gruesome and sensational murder cases, uncovering a shocking chain of violence rooted in anger and brutality.
Police said an incident occurred in March within the limits of Wan Bhachran police station, where a man identified as Waris allegedly murdered his wife and buried her inside their house. When a foul smell began to spread, Waris reportedly exhumed the body, set it on fire in a clay oven inside the house by pouring petrol on it and later buried the remaining bones.
In a grim turn of events, Waris himself was murdered a few months later. Police said he was shot dead by his own brother, sister and brother-in-law, after which his body was dumped into a canal.
Subsequently, Waris’s mother lodged an FIR reporting his disappearance.
After Waris’s body was recovered from the Quaidabad Canal, his heirs registered a murder case against four individuals. District Police Officer (DPO) Rai Muhammad Ajmal constituted a special investigation team under the supervision of DSP Rao Azhar Saeed.
The Wan Bhachran police, along with their IT team, made round-the-clock efforts and used advanced technical tools to trace the culprits. Investigations revealed that Waris’s own brother and sister were involved in his killing.
Police identified the accused as Parvez alias Provezi, son of Akbar, and his sister Yasmeen.
During interrogation, both suspects confessed to their involvement and disclosed that they had assisted in the murder plan by administering sedative pills to the deceased.
The accused have been arrested and produced before the court. Meanwhile, the exhumation of the grave of Waris’s wife, Kulsoom Bibi, is underway, along with the collection of forensic evidence and completion of DNA tests.
DPO Rai Muhammad Ajmal Kharal stated that despite facing setbacks during the investigation, the police did not lose heart and continued probing the case from multiple angles, closely monitoring even the smallest details.
He said modern IT tools, call data records (CDRs), and technical analysis were extensively used, leading to the successful tracing of the suspects. He expressed confidence that a strong challan would be submitted to ensure exemplary punishment for all those involved.
