ISLAMABAD: The third nationwide polio campaign will begin in Rawalpindi on Tuesday (today) after being postponed due to a shortage of security personnel. Most police officials had been assigned duties relating to the Pakistan Day Parade. Talking to The Express Tribune, a Rawalpindi health department official, who asked not to be named, said all arrangements were in place to carry out the vaccination drive alongside other cities on March 16, but they were asked to postpone the drive at the eleventh hour due to unavailability of security officials. Meanwhile, a three-day anti-polio drive in the capital will start from March 30.
