Targeted: PML-N leader gunned down

PESHAWAR:

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Peshawar youth wing president was shot dead by unidentified men in Zargarabad on Wednesday.

According to a Yakatoot police official, Sardar Mohmand was intercepted on Khan Mast Colony Road. “Unidentified men riding a motorbike shot him multiple times and fled,” the official added.

Talking to The Express Tribune, PML-N K-P spokesperson Nasir Musazai said although several office bearers have been receiving threats from time to time, this is the first time the party’s leadership has been targeted in the provincial capital.

Mohmand, a resident of Shadbagh, was an active member of the party. “It is premature to establish the motives behind the murder,” said Musazai.
