TTP militant apprehended in Bannu

Rasool Khan apprehended with cache of arms, three fake passports and 100 CNICs

In an intelligence-based operation in Sarai Naurang near Bannu, a local Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militant Rasool Khan was apprehended early Friday morning along with a cache of arms, three fake passports and 100 CNICs, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

Rasool Khan is thought to have been involved in many terrorist activities in KP and FATA.

A Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) meeting on March 4, the first to be held this year, reaffirmed its resolve to fight terrorism as per the National Action Plan. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman JCSC General Rashad Mahmood.
