MUZAFFARABAD: The head of Azad Jammu and  Kashmir (AJK) Public Accounts Committee Sardar Abid Hussain tendered his resignation on Thursday. Talking to The Express Tribune, Hussain confirmed that he has resigned. “Due to some personal reasons, I have submitted my resignation to the AJK Legislative Assembly Speaker Sardar Ghulam Sadiq.” Hussain, who was considered one of the die-hard workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party, was elected on a technocrat seat in 2011 as Member Legislative Assembly. Meanwhile, a source in the PPP-AJK chapter said the party leadership had promised Hussain a ministerial portfolio but it never materialised, compelling him to resign to mount pressure on the party to get a place in the cabinet.
