KARACHI:

The Gizri police have detained four suspects for the murder of Muhammad Ahmed Khan, 28, who was shot dead while waiting outside a friend's house on Khayaban-e-Ittehad in Defence Housing Authority on Wednesday night.

"What the police can disclose at present is that the suspects were friends of the deceased," said Gizri SHO Imran Zaidi, refusing to disclose the identity of the men. "We have to ascertain the motive behind the killing first."

The police have lodged a case against 'unidentified assailants' on the complaint of Khan's maternal uncle and investigations are underway. "The friends had a plan to go out and eat somewhere when the incident took place," said Zaidi.

A friend of the deceased, who did not wish to be named, said that Khan and another friend were waiting in his car outside the residence of their mutual friend, opposite Bilal Mosque when motorcyclists pulled up to the driving seat. "They shot Khan, who was sitting in the driving seat with the window down, three times in the chest and head. The assailants fled before the police arrived." He added that the deceased used to work with his brother in the construction business, and was working on many projects in Site.

sheheryar | 9 years ago | Reply This is unethical journalism, your article states that Ahmed was shot And the police arrived, but sorry to say there was a police mobile standing on the shahbaz and ittehad intersection, they drove by and did not even come for help or let be stop the unknown assailants who fled in front of them Get your facts right and then print your news, everything isn't about ratings and clicks.
