Arif Hanif appointed as new Counter Terrorism Department DIG

Hanif has previously served on various posts including at the central police office, FIA and traffic police

KARACHI: The government early on Saturday issued a notification confirming the appointment of Arif Hanif as DIG of Counter of Terrorism Department. 

The Sindh government had earlier in the week renamed CID (Crime Investigation Department) as CTD (Counter Terrorism Department) following formulation of national action plan.

Hanif has previously served at various positions including as DIG at the central police office, FIA and traffic police.

With this appointment, posts for Additional IG Sindh CTD, one more DIG post and eight SSP posts remain vacant.

DIG Headquarters Azhar Rasheed is likely to be appointed as AIG Sindh CTD.
