ISLAMABAD:

A police inspector has been booked for allegedly raping a 20-year-old girl.  The complainant, Sana*, told police on Monday that an inspector of the crime investigation department (CID) took her to a room in Sector G-9 where he raped her.

The Margalla police have registered a case against the suspect, who has not been arrested yet. Explaining the case, the girl said Ali also forced her to drink before he assaulted her.

The police said that they were looking into the “claims”.

Sub-inspector Razzaq, the investigation officer for the case, said the girl has not been able to locate the place of incident since Monday, and that she was constantly changing details of her whereabouts.

The girl told the police that Ali asked her to sit in a car at around 6pm on Monday and left her somewhere around 9pm after the incident. Razzaq said the police were waiting for the medical reports, adding that the suspect would soon be arrested.
