RAWALPINDI:

A tenant was booked for allegedly murdering his householder over a monetary dispute in the RA Bazaar area of Rawalpindi.

Police said Muhammad Farooq, 38, had an altercation with his tenant a few days ago and asked him to vacate his house.

On Thursday morning, when Farooq again asked the tenant to vacate the house, he got infuriated and opened a pistol fire at him. A bullet hit Farooq in the chest. He was taken to the district headquarters hospital, but he died on way.

A murder case will be registered after taking the statement of the deceased’s wife, said the investigation officer. In another incident, the same police seized 1.06kg hashish from Ijaz and a 30-bore pistol with five bullets from Faqeer. Both were taken into custody and being interrogated.
