The context of the National Action Plan, security issues and rehabilitation of temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) were on the agenda of today’s meeting.
On Saturday, the government formed ‘apex committees’ in all provinces to oversee the implementation of the National Action Plan against terrorism.
Speaking at a special meeting of the Punjab apex committee held at the corps headquarters in Lahore on Saturday, army chief General Raheel Sharif assured the provincial governments of the military’s full support for judicious and speedy action against all evil forces working in the country.
“The key to success lies in the whole-hearted participation of society and ensuring harmony among all intelligence and law-enforcement agencies at every level,” said Gen Raheel.
