Four-year old dies in private hospital

A boy died in an operation theatre of a private hospital due to the alleged negligence of doctors.

KARACHI: A four-year old boy died in the operation theatre of a private hospital in Karachi on Wednesday due to the alleged negligence of doctors.

The relatives of the child protested in the hospital and demanded action against the doctors concerned.

The boy was admitted to a hospital located on Karachi's MA Jinnah Road.

His father, Haider Ali, said the doctors gave his son an overdose of Anesthesia before they started operating on his leg.

Provincial Health Minister Doctor Saghir has formed a team to investigate the matter and take action against the Hospital Administration if necessary.
