Unlawful Law Enforcers: Policemen booked in kidnapping case

KARACHI: Five policemen of the Crime Branch were booked in a kidnapping case on Saturday. Two of the nominated policemen were arrested while the remaining three have yet to be taken into custody. ASI Sarfaraz, head constable Athar Butt and three constables, Zameer, Abdul Latif and Shahid, were accused of demanding ransom after kidnapping Saleem, a resident of Korangi, pretending to be officials of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Reacting on information, FIA officials raided the Crime Branch and recovered the abductee. The Crime Branch police have registered an FIR No 388/14 against the accused policemen.
