KARACHI: Pakistan captain Misbahul Haq did what any person would do with the dew factor in mind, win the toss and field in the first of the five-match ODI series against New Zealand in Dubai.
Pakistan captain mentioned in his comments after winning the toss that dew will play a big factor.
"A lot of dew is coming and we can't take a chance with that as it gets difficult to bowl," said Misbah. "Hafeez is not going to bowl which is a big miss for us. Others have to pull their socks up. Muhammad Irfan is fit and playing."

Now everyone can see how stupid Misbah has been. Why ? Because if Hafeez and Ajmal wasnt banned, Harris Sohail would have never bowled in Intl cricket. And we all saw how good he is. Look at Dhoni he made ordinary bowler like, Raina, Rohit Sharma, Kohli, Yuvraj in to alrounders. But Misbah and PCB dont care, they are too afraid to lose there position and dont want to risk for the sake of there country.
@King, doesnt matter, as winning this series is far less important then winning the world cup. Ignoring inform Faward Alam over out of form Younis (ODI) is pure injustice. Similarly, Pak should be trying to get opener slot settled by now for world cup. Hafiz without his bowling is very mediocre opener.
players like fawad and sohaib who have performed under tense situation and have played match wining innings are left out of the team to include to younus khan . the man who perform poorly agst india in last worldcup match . infact he has never played a match wiining in tense situation . But he is included . If this is PCB planning and selection then India pakistan match will be repeat of 2011 worldcup pakistan performance .

Still don't understand why was Fawad Alam excluded from this series. Afridi did good today, so now he has a license to play stupid shots for the next 10 games as history dictates. Please brace for future disappointments from him.
@king: the manner in which the game is won is also important, we all know how unpredictable Afridi is. The point is that top order has failed again and again which should be a worry to Pak cricket authorities. I have no hope for world cup and believe that Pak will loose badly in the opening match against India.

all the so called "in form" batsmen got out cheaply. Younis khan was making noise for not being included in the team, now that he is included, he got out cheaply yet again. same goes for misbah and hafeez.
This shows that our batsmen are technically very weak, because they are in form but still are not consistent. i have no hope for the worldcup
