
Askani was the founder of the school which was primarily a co-education institution and an English language teaching centre.
“Principal of the school was on his way to school when armed men on motorbike intercepted him and opened fire at him leading to his instant death,” said an official of Panjgur Police Station.
The attackers managed to flee from the scene after committing the crime.
“He was shot seven times — in head and upper torso,” police confirmed.
The body was shifted to a state-run hospital in Gwadar for autopsy.
The slain teacher was the resident of Panjgur and had set up modern schooling system in the port city.
He was one of the few individuals in the city who had acquired education from abroad and came back to work for the community.
