QUETTA:

Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said he wants to be a chief minister with dignity whether for a day or a year.

“When I feel I am losing the confidence of the members, I would quit with dignity,” he told the reporters at Balochistan Assembly building on Saturday after the proceedings. His coalition partner and opposition leaders criticised the government for worsening law and order situation in Balochistan.

“There could be differences within the coalition government but still I believe I have the confidence of the majority of the members,” Dr Malik told the reporters. Chief minister said that media and people should compare the law and order situation with the previous government. “We take the criticism constructively. It is the beauty of democracy that criticism is tolerated,” he stated.

He said his government will address the differences within the coalition government. “We will sit together on the table and address the concerns of our collation partner,” he added.
