Trigger-happy: Two men, child injured in firing incidents

Three people were injured in two incidents of firing in Sabzazar and Lytton Road areas on Monday. Lytton Road police said Ejaz and a child were passing by Mathaiwala Chowk in Sham Nagar when they were hit by bullets fired by some people fighting in the area. Police said some men at the chowk had an argument and took out their pistols.

They shot at each other but two bullets hit Ejaz, a passerby, and a child who was accompanying him. Police took the injured people to Services Hospital. They said that the men who had fired the shots had fled. Doctors at the Services Hospital said that Ejaz and the child were in a serious condition.In Sabzazar, Basharat, Rashid, Bhutto and some other members of their family suspected one of their women relatives of having an affair with a neighbour. Police said that the men got drunk on Monday and went over to the neighbour’s house. They started using abusive language for him and then shot him.
