KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Senator Babar Khan Ghauri on Monday wrote a letter to Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, demanding due share in government jobs for those people who belong to urban areas of Sindh.
“You have written a letter to the federal government, demanding due share of Sindh for jobs in federal government… it would have been much better if the same principle was also adopted while granting jobs in government of Sindh,” reads the letter.
The MQM leader accused the Sindh government of ‘violating’ and ‘trampling’ all rules and regulations while handing out jobs, as well as ignoring merit.
“Due share has not been given to the residents of urban Sindh… You, by your actions, confined yourself to being the chief minister of PPP, and it is for this reason that the people of urban Sindh have voiced their demand of a separate administrative unit.”
Ghauri said jobs should have been given in accordance with the Constitution of the country, as well as keeping the population in mind.
No B share had been observed when the PPP government was offering jobs especially to the police, agriculture, excise, irrigation, law, revenue departments, he added.
