Targeted: Man injured in grenade attack

Bomb fell around five feet away from a sabeel set up near Imambargah Wahdatul Muslimeen at Kamran Chowrangi

KARACHI: A man was injured when a grenade exploded near an imambargah at Kamran Chowrangi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, on Thursday night. According to SP Abid Qaimkhani, the locally-manufactured grenade was hurled at the site by unidentified assailants on a motorcycle. The bomb fell around five feet away from a sabeel set up near Imambargah Wahdatul Muslimeen, located at Kamran Chowrangi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar. The explosion injured a man standing at the sabeel. The SP added that the police was able to calm down the situation before it escalated. Muharram Majlis was going on inside the imambargah when the incident occurred.
