Public good: 14 development schemes approved

The government has approved 14 development schemes at an estimated cost of Rs12.15 million.

The government has approved 14 development schemes at an estimated cost of Rs12.15 million.


The schemes were approved at the 19th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party. Planning and Development (P&D) Board chairman Muhammad Irfan Elahi chaired the meeting.

P&D Secretary Waseem Ajmal Chaudhry and board members were also present.

The schemes include a feasibility study for the installation of cable cars in Murree; development of eco-tourism in Soan Valley at Khabeki and Uchali lakes; the installation of chairlift from Khar to Fort Munro; a feasibility study and design for the development of surface parking at Chitta Mor in Murree; the Urban Rehabilitation and Infrastructure Improvement Project, the construction of cement concrete sewer lines from Shaukat Khanam Memorial Hospital to Sattukatla among others.
