Land dispute: Two awarded death sentence for murder

Muhammad Aslam, Ramazan, Yasin and Salman had murdered Fayyaz in a land dispute

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Azam on Friday sentenced two murder convicts to death and awarded life imprisonment to two others. The judge ordered the release of three accused giving them the benefit of doubt.

According to the prosecution, Muhammad Aslam, Ramazan, Yasin and Salman had murdered Fayyaz in a land dispute. A case was registered against them on February 16, 2012, on the complaint of Abdul Ghafoor.

Aslam has also been fined Rs200,000. He would be imprisoned for four months if he failed to pay the fine. The judge released Ramazan, Yasin and Salman giving them the benefit of doubt.

Separately, Akbar, Shahid, Akhtar, Ashraf, Safdar and Ramazan had killed Wahid Bukhsh in a land dispute. A case was registered against them by Kala police. The judge sentenced Akbar to death and fined him Rs500,000. Shahid and Akhtar were awarded life imprisonment. Ashraf, Safdar and Ramazan were released.
