The federal government on Tuesday announced a three-day holiday for the festivities of Eidul-Azha, Express News reported.

All state offices and institutions will remain closed from October 6 to October 8.

On September 25, the Zil Haj moon was not sighted in the country which meant that Eidul Azha would be celebrated on October 6. The various zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees had convened a meeting to sight the moon in major cities of the country, while the Central Ruet-e-Hilal committee meeting was held at the Meteorological office in Karachi.

You think you guys have it bad. A lot of my colleagues don't get weekends off. Imagine what they might be going through.
