LAHORE: The Lahore Stock Exchange witnessed a bearish trend losing 145.76 points, as the LSE 25-Index opened with 5,289.57 points and closed at 5,143.81. The market’s overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 781,600 shares to close against the previous turnover of 719,100 shares, showing an upward move of 62,500 shares. Meanwhile, out of the total 90 active scrips only three moved up, 29 shed values and 58 remained equal. The major gainers were Millat Tractors Limited, Ghandhara Industries Limited and the Hub Power Company Limited recording an increase in their per-share values by Rs12.30, Rs1.76 and Rs0.59, respectively. General Tyre and Rubber Company, Engro Foods Limited and Pakistan State Oil Company Limited lost their per-share value by Rs5.22, Rs3.99 and Rs3.50, respectively. Top three volume leaders included the Bank of Punjab Limited with 256,000 shares, K-Electric Limited with 120,000 and NIB Bank Limited with 100,000.
