Pay up: MNA’s driver fined for speeding

In this case, the MNA was fined Rs500, he will receive his vehicle’s registration papers after he pays the fine.

LAHORE: Member of National Assembly Muhammad Afzal Khokhar was fined Rs500 for speeding on Canal Road on Thursday. Traffic Police officials said Khokar’s driver had been driving at a speed of 85km/hour; the speed limit for driving on Canal Road is 60km/hour.  Warden Rao Abrar checked the car’s speed on a speed gun and stopped the car near Shah Di Khooi stop. Traffic police officials said influential people stopped for speeding on Canal Road often tried to get away by pressuring wardens. In this case, the MNA was fined Rs500, he will receive his vehicle’s registration papers after he pays the fine.
