SIALKOT:


Nearly 15,000 acres have been inundated due to overflowing of nullahs and continuous torrential rains in Sialkot.


As many as 167 villages and 250 houses were damaged in recent rains and floods across the district.

Officials said nearly 34 persons died and 30 people were injured in rain and flood related incidents in Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of the district. More than 112 roads and 83 schools were also damaged in Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of the district.

As many as 38 relief camps were set up to provided food and health facilities to people in flood-hit areas.

Special Adviser to Chief Minister Khawaja Manshaullah Butt said relief activities in flood and rain affected areas were in full swing.
