He also endorsed the demands of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek, advising Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign for the sake of a transparent election investigation.
Jatoi had merged his party with the PML-N before the 2013 general elections. Other politicians who did the same were Mumtaz Bhutto of the Sindh National Front and Arbab Ghulam Rahim of the Peoples Muslim League. Meanwhile, Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi formed an alliance between his National Peoples Party and PML-N.
After the elections, all of these politicians grew disgruntled with the PML-N and parted ways with it. "The PML-N has disappointed all its leaders from Sindh," alleged Jatoi.
Jatoi, who along with his son lost in the election, demanded the holding of fresh elections in the light of the finding of the Supreme Court's judicial commission.
"We had all joined together to reanimate the PML-N in Sindh," Jatoi maintained. "But sadly, Mian Nawaz Sharif reneged on the promises he had made and never addressed our complaints in the 16 months of our collaboration."
