Further, Imran said that he informed army chief General Raheel, in a meeting last night, that he does not trust Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and wants him to resign.
“I want to tell you what I told the army chief. I told General Raheel that I do not trust Nawaz Sharif at all,” Imran said, while addressing his supporters Friday afternoon.
He recounted that Gen Raheel told him that the prime minister would not resign. However, the PTI chief told the army chief he would not accept anything without Nawaz’s resignation.
“I told General Raheel every reason as to why I will not leave without their resignations,” he stated.
Imran criticised Nawaz during his address and said that he has him by his collar.
“I have nothing to lose, I was ready for my three constituencies to be looked into,” Imran said, adding, “If anyone comes forward with allegations of rigging in K-P, I am not afraid of being investigated.”
At the end of his address, Imran told his supporters that they will reconvene at 6pm.

I think in future Govt as part of electoral reform pass a bill where a person who involve in establishing a Charity/Hospital and getting free lands and Tax exemptions and a person who establish religious schools must not able to take part in elections as this is seems by doing all that their ultimate aims are to reach the Government which is neither fair with the peoples or neither fair with the religion. All candidate must come via a political process to reach the Govt. high offices. Both Concert-cum-Protest originator you have disappointed.
A roaring tribute to Imran Khan's IQ: comes to demand PM resignation, ends up giving his own, fasadis celebrate in ecstasy.

Let me start with a disclaimer. I am no supporter of NS, his political philosophy or his track record. What is making people question PTI is its personalization of the issues, a position which even PTI supporters on TV shows are finding it embarrassing to defend.
That PTI has no major support left is evident from the latest gallup polls. Of course, in the paranoid state in which IK and PTI finds itself, this poll will be dismissed as a jewish ... er... PML conspiracy!
Even then, take the situation a week back. 5 of PTI 6 demands had been approved. A leader would have realized that a dignified retreat is possible and PTI could have managed to savage some clout and goodwill. However, now having shown all cards, given all possible threats and ultimatums, given all wild unsubstantiated allegations, exhausted the patience of even the mist ardent supporters, having questioned the sanity of even the mist intellectually challenged voters, PatI finds itself at the end of a blind alley hostage to the ego based position that its leader has taken.
The biggest tragedy is the loss of innocence, the loss of faith and the loss if trust that a large number of supporters had once placed in the abilities of IK who has neither proved it with his performance in KPK nor his conduct during the last 14 days.
The above is in no way a support for NS and his nepotic family's conduct but an indictment of the way IK is trying to snatch a popular verdict through backdoor and/or mobocracy. This is why he and his cohorts should be resisted with full power of reason, intellect, logic and if required, force.
This very well article written few years ago hits the nail on its head when compared to the present situation in Pakistan: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/6940148.stm We have had many scenarios in the past when the democratically elected government has come under scrutiny all because our founding fathers did not accept the vote of the people. I say this because people in Pakistan do not realise the true significance of democracy. We have become the laughing stock of the outside world.
@W: Brave and determined or egotistical and immature? A man willing to destroy the country and do anything as long as he can illegally take over. Imran Khan doesn't have the ability to lead his own party let alone a country. He doesn't seen to understand that the majority of Pakistanis are fed up with his childish games and dirty language. He should resign and go be with his children in the UK instead of endangering the children of Pakistan.
Now it is the job of army to send both parties home,Establish a technocrat govt,Institute emergency electoral refoms and hold a new transparent election under complete army contol. The results of which will be acceptable to every party and Pakistan will make a new start from there.
sir imran were with you! may ALLAH grant you success in this venture! leader ho tou aiea <3
@Napier Mole: Stop supporting a sinking ship, or you'll begin to sound inane too :)
@Syed Ahmad You quite aptly echoed how I feel about IK and his dharnas.
A man of his principle. IK is not a politician but an incredibly respectable person. Who has ever dared to say No to an Army offer in the history of Pakistan - leave alone tin the middle of this crisis.
Keep on going Imran/PTI - we are with you 100%
@Napier Mole: I suppose you support rigging in election and for that matter you are part of status quo.
An example of a real leader.. Brave and determined, MashAllah!
Imran Khan is ready to be referred to a psychiatrist. I dont see a difference between him and a suicidal maniac holding a school hostage, making insane demands and not ready to listen to reason. If he is worth his salt, he must ask his portion of protestors to leave or move himself to a place outside Islamabad and do a dharna as long as he wants. Once out of the glare of media publicity and out of the red zone, the public would soon move on.
Else the government must be ready with a Plan B. On a positive side, all polls prove that the public of Pakistan have dismissed the insane calls for PM's dismissal.
Another theory doing the rounds, probably with some merit, is that IK and TUQ have become hostage to the expectations of the crowds around them given that they have taken them into a blind alley. A forced removal by the forces would save them from being lynched by their own supporters.
Imran Khan the democrat or Imran Khan the army man? Imran Khan the liberal or Imran Khan the Mullah? It is time Imran Khan decides whether to hunt with the hounds or run with the hare. Our imbecilic youth would at least know which pit they will fall into!
