Bagging an award: UBL’s consumer internet services win

Winning banks selected based on strength of strategy for attracting and servicing online customers

KARACHI: United Bank Limited (UBL) was selected as the Best Consumer Internet Bank in Pakistan by Global Finance magazine for its 15th Annual World’s Best Internet Bank Awards 2014. The results were announced by Global Finance which selects the best financial institutions around the world and its Internet Bank Awards are the undisputed authority on the world’s leading online banking services providers. The winning banks were selected based on strength of strategy for attracting and servicing online customers, success in getting clients to use web offerings, growth of online customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits gained from Internet initiatives and web site design and functionality. “We believe customers are becoming increasingly tech savvy and demanding and we aim to continue to be ahead of the curve and always exceed their expectations,” said UBL CEO and President Wajahat Husain.
