Meeting the displaced: PTI women’s wing to visit Bannu on Friday

Party to look into problems faced by women at IDP camps and plan relief activities.

PESHAWAR: The women’s wing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P)chapter has decided to visit Bannu to look into problems faced by displaced women living in camps.

The decision was taken on Tuesday during a meeting between newly-appointed women’s wing president, Mehar Taj Roghani and PTI K-P General Secretary Khalid Masood.

General Secretary Nadia Sher Khan along with other prominent women leaders was also in attendance.

According to a statement issued by the party, Masood urged the leaders of the women’s division to visit Bannu and probe the problems women in IDP camps are facing.

The statement added that General Secretary Nadia Sher Khan informed the meeting that office-bearers from the Peshawar region would meet on Thursday at the party’s provincial secretariat to discuss the upcoming visit and plan relief activities.

The team of PTI’s women representatives will visit Bannu on Friday to oversee relief efforts being carried out at IDP camps, the statement read.
