ISLAMABAD:

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to initiate construction work on a proposed citizen facilitation centre in Sector G-7/2.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at the Convention Centre on Tuesday to review progress on projects being prioritised by CDA in the current fiscal year.

The purpose of the centre is to provide a central office for public convenience where all kinds of services related to CDA, Iesco, SNGPL and PTCL will be available under one roof.

The architectural and structural design has already been prepared by CDA’s Design and Structure Wing whereas the CDA-Development Working Party has also approved the project. The cost of the project has been worked out at Rs71.195 million.

The civic body says the building will be completed within six months. Circular in shape, the two-storey facilitation centre building with a covered area of 15,525 square feet will be constructed at a plot measuring 300 square yards.

The building will house seven rooms on the ground floor, besides restrooms and reception desks, with another seven rooms on the first floor.

The facilitation centre will be constructed near Jasmine Road in Sector G-7/2.
