For charity: Shaukat Khanum Hospital raises Rs3.5m

Funds raised at an iftar dinner hosted by them in Karachi at the Movenpick hotel.

KARACHI: The management of Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Sindh managed to raise Rs3.7 million at an iftar dinner hosted by them in Karachi at the Movenpick hotel on Wednesday. About 500 members of business community and other social circles showed up at the grand ballroom of the hotel, accompanied by their families. The room was filled with the clatter of plates and spoons as everyone took their seats at the roundtables and the snacks were served. After all the guests had offered their Maghrib prayers, dinner was served outside the ballroom. There was a small presentation in which the regional fundraising manager, Mudassir Habib, welcomed the guests. SM Muneer, Arif Habib, Zubair F Tufail, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Mehtabuddin Chawla and Rashid Ahmed Siddiqui, the supporters of the event were also present at the event.
