Violence round-up: Two people shot dead in the city, one body found

Body of teenage boy found, police unsure if he was killed or committed suicide.

KARACHI: At least three people were killed in separate acts of violence in different parts of the city on Wednesday.

A young man was shot dead in Frontier Colony within the limits of the Pirabad police station. The police said that at least two unidentified men on a motorcycle opened fire at the victim and escaped right after. The deceased was shot at multiple times and died on the spot. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy and was shifted to the Edhi morgue for identification.

SHO Haq Nawaz Baloch said that the motive behind the incident could be ascertained till the man was identified. He added that a case had been registered and an investigation was being carried out.

In an unrelated incident, an unidentified man was gunned down at Gharib Shah Road, Lyari within the limits of the Chakiwara police station. SHO Haji Sanaullah said that the victim had died on the spot. He added that unidentified motorcyclists attacked him. The body was taken to the Edhi morgue for identification after medico-legal formalities were completed at Civil Hospital, Karachi.

Separately, the body of a 14-year-old boy was found dead inside his house in Quaidabad within the limits of the Shah Latif police station. The police said that the deceased was strangled to death but added that they did not know if he was killed or committed suicide.The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy.
