Altaf calls for 'historic' rally in support of Pakistan Army

MQM chief calls on all political and religious parties to take part in rally.

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has instructed the Rabita Committee to hold a ‘historic’ rally to express solidarity with the Pakistan Army during the ongoing Zarb-e-Azb operation, Express News reported on Friday.

The date and location of the rally is yet to be announced.

Altaf appealed to the media to cover the rally and requested political and religious workers of other parties to attend it as well.

The army has launched an operation against militants in the North Waziristan Agency of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas.

The MQM leader had also earlier announced his support for the operation.

Democracy or Country, whats more important? We are 10th more fragile country in the world after 6 years of democracy. Lets spend another 10 this way, and world would have new countries on the map!
